Our card payment option cannot be used by individuals in the United States so our valued American customers will need to pay for their order via a bank transfer. We highly recommend TransferWise for secure international payments. We have been using their service for years now to pay our suppliers around the world.

Their service is quicker, with lower fees and much better exchange rates than most banks and card providers. TransferWise offers the option to fund your transfer by various methods such as credit or debit cards, Apple Pay if available on your device, or you can send a direct transfer to their local USA bank account. Once you set us up as a recipient in your TransferWise account, our details are saved so it's a very simple process to send payments to us. They have a mobile app as well.

Other international customers may also wish to use Transferwise to take advantage of the better exchange rate and lower fees than offered by most banks and card providers so you may want to check if their service is available in your country.

TransferWise help

We thought it might be useful to illustrate how to setup a TransferWise payment. Below is the home page of TransferWise, here you will begin the process. Either register for a new account before you start or you can create one while you set up your payment.

The currency in the lower box is important, select GBP (British Pounds) from the drop down list and enter the exact amount of your order. You'll find your total in £ GBP in the shopping cart, on the order confirmation page, or in your order confirmation email.

In this example, the order value is £236.59 and the order number is 245987.

To create your TransferWise account, enter your email address and create a password. You will need to confirm your email address with a link in the email they send. You may also choose to log into TransferWise with other sign in methods such as Apple, Google, or Facebook (location dependent).

On the next page you'll see a review of your transfer. Here you can see a drop down selection for the payment method you wish to use. TransferWise shows you the fees for each method as you pick from the drop down selections. Review these details and again be sure the total amount in the bottom box labelled 'Recipient will get exactly' is in GBP currency and the total matches that of your order.

The next step is one you'll find if this is your first transfer. Select personal to continue.

This step is one you'll only see on your first transfer if you haven't already setup your TransferWise account previously. Fill in your details and continue.

Next they will ask you who you are sending money to. Select "Business or charity" to continue. Or if you have already used TransferWise to send payments you'll find your existing recipients listed here.

This page will appear asking you to enter OUR details. Be sure you copy our details from our information listed above, paying careful attention to our company name and IBAN. We have placed a copy button next to the IBAN for your convenience so you can paste it into TransferWise. The email address is labeled as optional but we please ask that you use this so we are notified by email of your incoming payment. This will help speed the process of marking your order as paid in our system.

You will then find the page to review your transfer. The reference number you must enter here is the order number which can be found on your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Double check all the details here before you confirm and continue.

The final part of the process is to pay for your transfer. You will see various methods to choose from. Our example may not list all that are available to you on your device or region. Some users may find Apple pay or other methods listed here. TransferWise is very transparent in stating what their fees are for each method. Follow the instructions on the following pages to complete your payment. You should find they inform you how long it might take for your payment to arrive. Usually if all the details are correctly entered and you have chosen to pay with your credit/debit card the payment arrives with us within minutes.

Now back on your home page for TransferWise you'll find all your activity and any recipients you have previously sent to. Once you have paid us one time you'll easily be able to pick Lime-IT LTD from the list and send money without entering all of our details again.
